Susan W. Marcley, an award-wining California artest, began
her artistic career under the utelage of Herr Ernest W. Hrupp
in Machenbach, Germany in the 1960s. In 1968, Ms. Marcley
opened the Lunde School of Art in Florida where she taught
oil painting techniques for several years. She returned to
fornal instruction by studying the art of portraiture under
Rafeal Maniago, a member of the Portrait Society of America.

Ms. Marcley's educational experience continued in Italy where
she studied classical drawing at the Angel Academy of Art
in Florence. She returned the following year to study the of
painting the figure in oil from founder John Michael Angel, a
protege of Annigoni.

Susan's passion is creating the "perfect painting." commissioned
by collectors throughout the United States, she combines
elements that have a special meaning to the cliante, consulting
with them along the way in regard to composition and color.
The result is a very personal masterpiece to be treasured
forever. The excitement of creating an original oil painting
from the client's vision is a challenge that I love." says Susan.
